This is what trying to save your small business during these difficult times looks like.
As a former owner of this business, I can tell you that “Bake Me A Dream” has never been about the cake. The current business owner and former employee of mine, Brittany Garcia-O'Connor and I, share the same passion and love for our community. When we worked together and customers would come into the shop, sharing their stories and lives with us, we’d often times end up in tears after hearing their stories and sharing in their burdens. We had a saying, “It’s not about the cake.” It never has been. Brittany Garcia-O'Connor is one of the most generous business owners I know, ALWAYS saying yes to sponsorship's and donations from local community organizations. She and her husband have 3 children, which includes a set of lively 4 year old twins. She sacrifices time away from her family and endures long hours at the bakery to make ends meet. Not to mention she’s one of the most talented cake artists I know! At a time when people aren’t gathering and parties are being postponed and there’s a shortage of bread on the shelves, Bake Me A Dream is once again trying to meet the needs of their community. Bake Me A Dream will have more items in their case tomorrow and will be baking homemade bread as well! Please support her and her business during these difficult days. #tcstrong #supportsmallbusiness
