We have a unique opportunity with you to partner with us on our new mobile learning laboratory, our new book & STEM bus!!!
The Indian Innovation Lab will be used year-round.
During the school year, it will serve as an extension of the classroom with unique, hands-on STEM activities both inside the bus with a variety of stations, and outside under the awnings. During the summer, it will serve more as a mobile library to reach those areas where children cannot make it to the community library.
With Santa Fe ISD’s growing Summer Reading Program, the bus will further support this program and literacy as a whole!
The bus also has a wheelchair lift so it will truly reach all of our students!!
The bus is just over 40’ long and is already creating a huge buzz in the community!
The Indian Innovation Lab was present during STEM nights at two of our Elementary campuses, it came to our donor appreciation night “Because of Y’all” in September, we hosted a fundraising event “Rally ‘Round the Bus” with it there, and it was in our Homecoming Parade where faces of children and parent lit up – it was priceless!!!
An exterior, splashy wrap is being designed and will feature donor logos as part of it!
An architect is working on the interior schematic for lighting, electrical, and overall design to make the most of the space!
We are securing partnerships through December 1.
