Valero Energy Foundation Donates Truck to The Salvation Army of Galveston County Valero fills local need to increase effectiveness of The Salvation Army – Dedication of Truck to include Valero employee clothing drive

What: Valero employees and friends of The Salvation Army will gather to dedicate a brand-new box truck donated by Valero Energy Foundation for transportation needs of The Salvation Army.
 
Why: The truck is needed to increase The Salvation Army’s effectiveness in collecting donations of clothing and household goods for resale at their Family Store located at 601 51st Street in Galveston. Donations to the Family Store provide revenue for services provided by The Salvation Army to the community.
 
Where: The parking lot of the Valero Texas City Refinery Administration Building, located at 1301 Loop 197 South, Texas City, Texas 77590. In case of rain, event will be moved inside to room 140.
 
When: Friday, Dec. 6, at 9 a.m.
 
Who:
  • Captains Nathanael & Lucila Doria, Corps Officers of The Salvation Army,
  • Sal Viscontini, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Valero Texas City Refinery
  • Texas City-LaMarque Chamber of Commerce
 
More: Employees of the Valero Texas City Refinery are holding a clothing drive to “fill the truck” before the dedication on Friday.
