The Salvation Army Family Store set to Re-Open June 13
Galveston,TX (June 2020) – The Salvation Army is happy to announce that the Family Store in Galveston will reopen on Saturday, June 13 at 10:00am until 4:00pm. Everything is priced to sell, and priced to sell fast! Regular weekly store hours will be Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Donations are accepted during store hours and pick-up arrangements can be made by calling 409-763-1691. “We are happy that we are able to bring some of our employees back to reopen the Family Store,” says Capt. Nathanael Doria of The Salvation Army. “The Family Store provides a valuable service to the community and much needed funding to support the programs in Galveston County.” The Family Store is launching an online Facebook live shopping event on Monday evenings from 6:00-7:00pm beginning on June 15. Traci Puckett of American National and President of the Women’s Auxiliary will show various items from the store that can be reserved by responding in the comments section. Those items will then be held at the front office for pickup and payment. Another shopping option being offered is through Facebook Marketplace. Search for Sally Galveston and see some great items from the warehouse that are priced to sell. To purchase an item, call 409-763-1691 Monday through Friday from 9-3 or Saturday from 10-4 to make arrangements to get your treasure. The Salvation is excited to reopen and to have more options to offer the community to shop. Money raised in the Family Store supports the work of The Salvation Army in Galveston County.
