Texas Renaissance Festival Announces School Days Scholarship Recipients

​Todd Mission, TX (May XX, 2020) – Texas Renaissance Festival School Days coordinator Kim Bryant
recently announced the 2020 recipients of the four $1,500 scholarships that are awarded annually in the
categories of Fine Arts, Education, Humanities and Participation. TRF School Days Scholarship applicants
represent graduating seniors in public, private, and home schools. Each applicant must meet
criteria such as academic, achievement and extracurricular, and submit an essay.
“We created the School Days Scholarship Program to reward those students who show great promise
and enrich their respective communities. In this challenging year, we are glad to do what we can to
support area students in the pursuit of their goals and dreams and wish them the very best in their new
endeavors,” said Bryant.
The 2020 Texas Renaissance Festival School Days Scholarship Winners are as follows:
Participant: Jackson Barr, St Thomas Episcopal HS
Fine Arts: Isabelle Nuzzo, Memorial HS (Spring Branch ISD)
Education: Emma Kent, The Woodlands HS, (Conroe ISD)
Humanities: McKenna Tanner, Stratford HS (Spring Branch ISD)
The Texas Renaissance Festival School Days are two exciting days of competition, performance,
education through artisan demonstrations, entertainment by select TRF stage acts and musicians,
shopping, food, and interaction with TRF cast. This year’s School Days is planned for Nov. 4 and 5, 2020.
New to this year’s slate of competitions which includes trebuchet, costume, art, photography, drama,
band, orchestra, choral and essay is the student Mariachi Contest that will be held Nov. 4.

The Texas Renaissance Festival is the nation’s largest Renaissance event. Each year over 450,000 patrons enter
through the gates of the festival into a 16 th Century European Village where performers immerse you in the
enchantment of the village that feature 21 stages of music and stage acts, 400 shoppes, artisans, and a world tour
for the taste buds that of course include turkey legs! The Texas Renaissance Festival is located one hour north of
Houston. 2020 TRF season dates are Saturdays, Sundays, and Thanksgiving Friday, October 3 – November 29. More
