He was always there for the American Heart Association and would do anything that was asked of him-even if it meant singing songs in the back of a car or participating in a CPR performance on stage. He wanted to help educate the community in anyway that he could. He is in inspiration to all and I’m honored I got to know him. Our community has suffered a huge loss. I pray for his family and want to thank them for sharing him with us. Rest In Peace Chris. ❤️ TJ AuldsPrayers for Jana, Chase, Logan and Alexis and the community family of Chris Reed. Chris and I first met when he was assistant police chief in League City. He was a friend, source and a mentor. I’ll miss poking fun at his Fighting Irish and his infectious personality. He was passionate about his community and most important his family. One of the reasons I moved to Nassau Bay was because of the work he did there to regenerate the economics and community when he was city manager. He was indeed a friend to everyone. Nate Stockard Like everyone in the community, Lauren Stockard and I are heartbroken and astonished by the passing of Chris Reed. Many have said so many good things about Chris, but one of the best is how Chris always made you feel better when you talked to him. No matter what was going on, he was either positive with you or encouraging when you needed it. We saw him do much for the community in the few years that we knew him. Rest in Peace, Celtic Tiger. James Markle We have another angel watching over us 😢. You will be missed. Drew Ratichek Chris Reed has been a big brother to many of us. He has made time for me personally at times when the struggle was great. Wisdom, poise, patience, persistence and a generous heart. Chris you left your footprint on my life and on this world. Damn. For those who have kids, pray that your kids grow up to live like Chris did. Gone too soon and yet you did more than 100 men do with 90yrs each. A life is worth living if you impact the world in such a way that it is a better place for you have in lived, and Chris, you hit the ball out of the park. The seeds you planted in lives (mine included) will change this place forever. Thank you Chris. Sandy Adams Chris Reed was so giddy at the end of this shoot and was such a great sport, as he was for whatever the community asked of him in the name of charity. He was always willing to do whatever, for kids especially. Rebecca Goins Lilley Have you ever met someone that ALWAYS made you feel good about your self — every interaction every time ? Someone who lead by example and truly had a servant’s heart ? Someone who seemed to literally be omnipresent ? Someone who had everyone’s best interest at heart? My friends that was Chris Reed. He embodied every characteristic of being the most decent human being I have ever met. He was the “real deal”! I know God’s timing is perfect and that God was ready for you. But I can honestly say that none of us were ready for you to leave. Selfishly we wanted to keep drawing upon your strength, wisdom, sense of humor and love ! Sir — I applaud you and thank you for all you did for mankind during your short time here. Until we meet again! God Bless you and your family ! Nico Echeverry Top 2 favorite memories with Chris Reed: 1. He came to ACS MMA to do a wrestling seminar. Learned a whole lot from him. 2. He reffed my buddy's, Mikey Patterson, title fight. Mikey needed a bucket after his win. He threw up in said bucket. I then went up to Chris afterwards with the bucket and told him, "I got this for you." He looked at me and then the contents of the bucket. Then he laughed/wretched a little while turning away from the bucket. Good times. Pierr CastilloMy heart is so saddened by the news you are no longer with us, Chris Reed 😥 I was blessed with your leadership and guidance on our advisory board. Top Star is better today because of you. I was blessed with your friendship that had no conditions and showed up at my doorstep, even at a moments notice. You were a candid voice to the big wigs, but an even stronger ally to those of us not in power. You were a connector of people. A connector for greater good and our community is better today because of you. You left too soon but the impression you've left in me-- one of kindness, love and genuine friendship-- will last through a lifetime. Chris, farewell my friend. Until we meet again. 😥 ----------------- Chris Reed was a true leader but not just because his titles like Chief of Police, school board Trustee or City Manager. Chris was also an esteemed friend to multiple non profit organizations, elected officials, local leaders and the average citizen (like me) whom he always made time for. Most important of all, Chris was a great family man devoted to his wife and children. Let's keep Chris' wife, kids and family in our thoughts and prayers as they seek to reconcile their loss.
