Re-Elect Greg Rikard

We deserve public officials who are experienced and qualified in the job they are elected to do. We also deserve public offices to be open and available to serve the public during regular business hours. My 20+ years of local law enforcement experience and desire to defend our fundamental right of an accessible court system are some of the reasons why I want to be the next Galveston County Justice of the Peace in Precinct 1.
Born and raised in Precinct 1, I know the community and have been a part of it all my life. I raised my family in Precinct 1 and currently live in Texas City with my wife, Helen, of eighteen years. Beginning my law enforcement career in 1993 with the Galveston County Sheriff’s Department and ending my career as Chief of Police in Kemah, I am no stranger to rolling up my sleeves and committing to hard work and getting the job done. After retiring from Kemah in 2016, I was hired as the Director of the Personal Bond and Collections Department for Galveston County. My role with the county has opened my eyes to the desperate need in having a more qualified and experienced Justice of the Peace in Precinct 1. Having worked in almost every level of law enforcement and managing a $2.2M budget with 28 staff as a police chief, I have the necessary experience to be the effective Justice of the Peace needed in Precinct 1.
