COLBY ROSENBOOM

What do I say to honor this young man
Over that high fence he painfully did land
Not knowing before he was shot exiting the classroom door

The main thing in his heart
Seeing his young classmate frozen to the floor
Was to help her up looking at two doors

Rushing out of the outside door with her
There so unfair was a 6 foot fence
Getting her over was their defense
From a crazed shooter intent on bringing harm

Angels from above helped this young man
Without thought of the pain within
He saved his fellow Santa Fe classmate friend
As he followed her over that fence landing in pain

Now in rhymes this day for you Colby I pray
In Jesus’ name I rhyme to say
Yes my young friend you are a hero this day
For your heart is filled with love for others

Do not let this horror get you down
Not with any doubting sounds
For God used you so very true
To save another that Satan’s works wanted to smother

God Bless you my young friend
Such a brave heart you did lend
During such a frightful episode
To save another without thought of yourself

You are truly a hero sent with love
From our dear Lord above
Protecting a fellow student during this tragedy

These rhymes through Jesus divine
Are truly for you Colby ROSENBOOM
Sent through God’s love for you this time
Lord soothe this young man’s mind
