Monks on the Dike?? From: Patti Abschneider

My husband David and I love "cruising" the dike even after almost forty-four years of marriage and we always see the most unusual things.   Several years ago we were sitting in David's truck and a minivan drove-up next to us & low and behold, these monks started filing out one by one.    I got so excited about what I was seeing that I jumped out and asked them if I could take their photos.   They were very kind and agreeable and I even took pictures with their cameras.   They did not share much information about themselves and have no idea where they came from & believe once I started taking pictures that it drew attention to them that they probably didn't want.    I graciously thanked them and each started filing back into the van.   I returned to the truck, looked at David and asked him if that really happened??   We both started laughing and agreed we had pretty much seen it all at the end of the dike!!!
