ABOUT JOE
Mr. Joe Compian is devoted to helping those most in need, working for the past 17 years behind the scenes in non-profit organizations in the Galveston area to advance policy initiatives to help underprivileged, elderly, and poor communities. Since his retirement as the president of RE/MAX of Texas, one of the largest real-estate franchise organizations in the US, he has been a full-time volunteer with several faith-based organizations in the US. He has been a full time volunteer with several faith-based organizations including Gulf Coast Interfaith, a coalition of religious congregations and community organizations that advocate for social programs and services for vulnerable populations.

    Education Mr. Compian has a law degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC and an undergraduate degree in International Relations from the Edmond Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He is fluent in Spanish and French and has lived, studied, and worked in a wide variety of communities around the world including Puebla, Mexico and Geneva, Switzerland. While in Europe, he put together multi-million dollar deals selling Belgian eggs to Algeria.
