LA MARQUE, TEXAS (December 10, 2019) – The City of La Marque is now home to the Guinness Book of World Records Crawfish Bash, as well as the most magnificent holiday lights show in the USA, according to ABC’s primetime TV show, The Great Christmas Light Fight. On December 9, 2019, an episode aired featuring Magical Winter Lights’ 20-acre holiday wonderland that shines every year at Gulf Greyhound Park in La Marque, Texas. Magical Winter Lights was crowned the Heavyweight Division champions.

“We are thrilled to host Magic Winter Lights in the City of La Marque again this year and offer our congratulations for being named The Great Christmas Light Fight Heavyweight Champions,” said La Marque City Manager Tink Jackson. “We invite everyone to come out and see the greatest Christmas lantern light show in the country!”

Magical Winter Lights has been thriving in the Greater Houston Area for five years, and they’ve been in La Marque for four years. The 52-day festival draws tourists and visitors from the entire region and offers family-friendly holiday entertainment for citizens of La Marque.

According to Yusi An, the owner and producer of Magical Winter Lights, the support from the local community has been tremendous.

“We are grounded here, and we feel at home in La Marque,” said An. “Even though we were on a national TV show, our local community has shown amazing support. It’s a great representation of our region. Thanks to the City of La Marque, the greater Houston communities and Gulf Greyhound Park for your openness in accepting who we are, allowing us to make holiday memories for everyone!”
