HISD ~ Welcome our new Assistant Superintendent Mike Skinner will be serving as the Assistant Superintendent. His main responsibilities will be supervising the Business and HR Departments. From Mr. Skinner: I am extremely excited to be joining the Hitchcock ISD Team. I have 28 years in education. I was a Special Education Teacher and a coach for 19 years at Longview High, Kingwood High, Houston Westside, and A&M Consolidated High. I have served the past 9 years as an administrator at Giddings High as an assistant principal, secondary principal at Bartlett, and for the past 2 and a half years as the superintendent at Chireno Independent School District. I am a graduate of the University of Arkansas where I was a member of the men’s track and cross country teams in the late 80s and early 90s. I received my masters degree from Prairie View A&M. I have a 13-year-old daughter that lives in College Station and is very active with athletics and school activities. I will be coming to Hitchcock with my partner Ms. Jennifer Davis who will be teaching Art at Crosby Middle school this Fall.
