In this unprecedented time of uncertainty and quickly changing dynamics, Family Service Center of Galveston County wanted to assure you we are here to help our community through this difficult time.
Our focus is to ensure we meet the needs of the communities we serve while doing our part to keep our clients and our team safe and healthy. While our office locations are closed, FSC’s team has transitioned to working remotely from home to ensure we are available to those who need us. Here’s what we’re doing:
As we learn and grow in this new era, we are discovering many ways to ensure we are able to continue meeting the needs of individuals. Thank you for your support, confidence, and trust. Be Kind ~ Stay Well As of March 25, 2020, in an effort to safeguard the health of the individuals we serve and our team, FSC offices are closed. FSC's Front Office Team is maintaining phone coverage during office hours (8am - 5pm, Monday - Thursday, 8am - 1pm, Friday) to ensure we stay in touch with our clients and meet the needs of individuals during this time. FSC's Executive Director, Dr. Julie Purser shared these thoughts: “Through this all, I am reminded what we learn daily from our clients: Through trauma and pain comes opportunities for growth and resilience. Physical distancing has required us to identify ways to improve our self-care, to ensure that we remain connected to those we love and to restructure our priorities. This is also a time to develop new strategies to tackle life’s challenges and identify new ways to find meaning. While this time is really difficult, my hope is at the end of the day, this is a time of growth for each of us personally and professionally.” Family Service Center of Galveston County (FSC) can support you or someone you know during this difficult time.
