Community, as we embark upon another school year tomorrow I ask again for you to utilize the P3 Campus Anonymous Reporting Application we currently use at TCISD.
Over the last year our team in conjunction with our awesome administrators and counselors have intervened in acts of self harm, acts of violence towards others, students being abused or neglected and assisted Law Enforcement by providing information regarding criminal behavior in our community.
I cannot emphasize enough, now is the time to be situationally aware of your surroundings, your child’s surroundings, their behaviors and the behaviors of their friends.
Being situationally aware is all of our responsibilities!
My concern is since March we may have had students or families in environments a school provided refuge from and upon their return we will have hurting students in a very different environment in which they are not used to causing them further anxiety.
If you notice your student or their friends exhibiting any of the following behaviors please reach out to us, depression, anxiety, withdraw from things they enjoy, erratic behavior, lack of energy or motivation, violent outbursts, selling or giving away prized possessions, fixation on various weapons, thoughts of hurting themselves or someone else, visual or auditory hallucinations, neglect, abuse, self mutilation and so on, this is a free platform for you.
