From Our Worship Pastor, John Talley:
September 27, 2020 WHAT A DAY! I’m so proud to be a part of FBCTC. Our first Sunday back with full ministry was awesome! It was so good seeing people visiting, being in Bible Study, worshipping and wanting to be together. We were created to be in community. It is an honor to serve at a church with people who love each other, love the Lord, work and give to God’s Kingdom. What we are building here is not just for us but for generations to use for the purpose of God’s glory. The audio-visual team did a fantastic job of getting sound, lights and projection ready for the first day in. More work has been completed and they estimate completing their installation in approximately two weeks! Our tech team, band and vocals have all been rehearsing extra on Saturdays to adequately prepare for Sundays with new gear in place. One of the final pieces will be the new camera system. This will bring impact to our live-stream ministry and help us move towards image-magnification! All of this is being done in an effort to glorify God with excellence and help the message of the Gospel be clear. And. we are always looking for more people to join the tech team. This ministry includes lights, lyric projection (ProPresenter), audio, cameras and streaming. Interested? Email me at [email protected] This week the new worship center chairs arrived. New exterior doors at all three entrances are being installed soon and the baptistry work is underway! Looking for an area to serve? Ask any minister and they can give you some ideas. Greeters are always looking for more smiling eyes behind the masks. Meschel (happy anniversary) can always use more Kid’s Ministry leaders – [email protected]. Dennis and the Youth Ministry kicked off a new Wednesday evening format with a meal, worship, games, teaching and small groups – [email protected]. Always invite and/or bring friends or neighbors to church! Include Bible Study and small groups in those invitations! 2020 is a year we will remember for a LONG time. What part will you remember most... the pandemic, the election, the economy, the church building or a changed life in which you played a role?
