Can you believe it’s almost fall, y’all? Well, not officially until September 22, just in case you were wondering… But if you’ve been to Hobby Lobby or Starbucks, they’ve definitely got you thinking about fall. I’m pretty excited about my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season, but I’m even more excited about the possibilities of our upcoming calendar year and the ministry opportunities that come with that. Although we’ve almost been in our new building for a year, it’s really the first year we’ve been able to look at the upcoming calendar as a whole and plan it out. At this time last year, we were just trying to figure out how to use this amazing building to do ministry and what that looked like in the middle of a pandemic. It has been an amazing year experiencing lots of firsts in our new building. God is so good!! We had a great kick off to our Wednesday mid-week programming for kids last week. As part of their rotations, Jenny will be working with them on Wednesdays to learn a song that you can look forward to seeing them showcase during adult worship on September 26th. We will also be kicking off September with our first Women’s Ministry event of the year. Join us on Friday, September 17th for a craft night with Jessica from Southern Momma. We will be making decorative door hangers. The round design is $20 or you can choose a scalloped design for $25. You can even add a personalized stencil for $5. Bring an appetizer, dessert or 2 Liter to share. You will need to pre-register online at fbctc.com/events by September 13 to be able to participate. Our next Women’s Ministry event is right around the corner on Friday, October 1st. It’s a shopping trip to Canton Trade Days. We will leave at 5am and return to TC about 11:30pm. It’s going to be a lot of fun shopping ‘til we drop! With a full bus the price is $33. Space will be limited, and we need those that are interested to sign up as soon as possible to make this trip a success! We will have a sign-up table in the foyer this Sunday. Another great ministry that will be kicking off in September is Club 56. Club 56 is for our 5th and 6th grade students. On Sunday, September 19th, Club 56 will meet at the church at 5pm for a scavenger hunt and pizza. Every month we will have a different Club 56 event that will include a time of fun, a devotional and prayer. Be on the lookout for more opportunities of fellowship and community. “A sweet friendship refreshes the soul.” Proverbs 27:9
