From Our Children’s Minister, Meschel Hara:
In First Corinthians Chapter 12, Paul goes into great detail about the Body of Christ and the importance of every part of the Body. God has gifted us all differently and uniquely. Having been a part of the Body of Christ and specifically the Body of Christ at First Baptist Texas City most of my life, I have experienced the magnificence of God’s love through the Body of Christ over and over and over and over. It’s a love
like no other and can be powerful and overwhelming. God will bless you abundantly through serving Him.
As we prepare for the final month of getting our new building
ready for September 27th, know that YOU are needed to make our Body complete, whether it’s being a part of the preparations and/or serving in ministry.
Check out many of the opportunities available for you to serve:
Minutemen – Last minute helpers that we call on for “whatever” is needed from setting up chairs to moving furniture. Contact: [email protected]
* Assemble New Children’s Ministry Furniture.
Contact: [email protected]
* Chair Cleaning Crew. All of our chairs need a thorough
cleaning to remove dirt and dust from construction.
Contact: [email protected]
* Upcoming Yard Work Days: Saturdays, Sept. 5 & 19 @ 9am.
Contact: [email protected]
* Coffee Crew. Contact: [email protected]
Awana Volunteers & Children’s Ministry Volunteers.

* Youth Volunteers. Contact: [email protected]
* Greeters, Choir & Band. Contact: [email protected]
There is a LOT of movement going on in preparation for
September 27. You may see furniture stacked out in our public foyers on Sundays over the next couple of weeks. Please pardon our mess!
It’s so close to the end of construction; we can see the light at the end of the tunnel!
Thanks again for your generosity to Finishing the Task. It is your giving which is making this happen!
I look forward to seeing you this Sunday in Worship!
