One of the greatest concentrations of Swamp Dwellers is the uncontrolled fourth branch of Government, the Civil Service, and the bureaucracies at all levels of government.
Laws have been were passed by the legislative branch of government, that were in the best interests of the American public at the time of passing, become monsters after the bureaucrats take control of them. Many of those laws allow government agencies to write the regulations, define the penalties if one violates those regulations and have the ability to enforce those regulations. So, the government agency can fill the roles of all three branches of government. The members of these departments are not elected, can hardly be fired, and regulate almost every aspect of our lives. Examples:
·         The Environmental Protection Agency was needed when formed during the Nixon Administration. A lot has been done over the years to clean our air, land, and water.  However, the EPA continued to increase its scope and power so by 2015 it was trying to become ruler over every farm pond in America.
·         The Department of Energy was a consolidation of several agencies during the Carter Administration. The DOE objective was to free America from the need for foreign oil. The Department did not obtain its objective and in many periods, the problem got worst. It was not until a businessman; Donald Trump came into office that this goal was achieved.
The bureaucrats are in control and know it. From Dover AFB, where I was a junior officer to the Pentagon, the military personnel turnover every three or four years, but the civilian employees are there for decades. Same is so in the other departments and agencies of the executive branch of Government. Political appointees’ turnover on a regular basis, but again the civilian employees are there for decades.
Many Civil Servants show levels of arrogance to match their positions. The media has made the most out of the Justice Department and FBI senior management dreaming up charges against the President, but this is true in all departments. The Democratic Party marches hand in hand with the bureaucrats, because the Dem’s have replaced God with Big Brother and the bureaucrats mostly contribute to Democrat candidates and play their roles as minions of Big Brother.
So, what can we do to fight this ever-growing monster? Support President Trump in his battle to reduce the massive amount of regulations that are promulgated by the bureaucrats and help him achieve his vow to drain their swamp.
