From Our Children’s Minister, Meschel Hara:
Our construction project at FBCTC has made a lot of progress in the last couple of weeks! Every day there is something new to be excited about by way of installation and progress. Our contractors are doing a great job at what they do and are hard at work! The same applies to our building committee. They continue to meet weekly and sometimes daily as questions arise throughout the process.
Just this week the first coat of colored paint has been applied to a large percentage of the walls in our building. All of the adult education space has color on the walls as well as the rooms behind the stage in the Worship Center and also the kitchen. Many of the sinks in the building are installed and have running water, yay!! The adult restrooms have counters, floor tile, and wall tile installed and look fantastic! Even the toilets and urinals are in! Most all the cabinetry in the whole building has been installed from the kitchen to the coffee bar to the kid’s area. One thing that I am pretty excited about being installed is light switches! For over a year now we have not had light switches downstairs and so being able to flip a switch to turn on lights is pretty exciting! Continue to pray for God’s guidance in all aspects of the construction of our new church building. As the spike of Covid cases continues in our area, I’d like to remind you that we are continuing to provide two services for Worship at 9 and 11am to allow for plenty of space to social distance. Our chairs are spaced 6 feet apart, and we are asking that you hand sanitize as you enter/exit the building as well as wear a mask upon entry and exit of the building. After you have found your seat, feel free to remove your mask during worship if you would like. We also have a cleaning crew onsite that is disinfecting the chairs between services and sanitizing the restrooms and frequently touched surfaces. Children’s Worship bags are available that contain activity sheets to go along with the Pastor’s sermon, crayons, and a fruit snack.
