If you haven't already heard about the fantastic (Free) opportunity for attending, participating and graduating from our HPD's 8 week sponsored CPA classes (Citizens Police Academy) well here is the announcement again.
This once a week course allows our city residents to have a lot of fun, get much education, information and awareness for active duty law enforcement procedures, daily challenges, scenarios, that pertain to situational circumstances and the split second actions and responses needed.
You will learn about criminal investigation, detective work, traffic control, police equipment and how it is used and much more.
What is really cool is that right before graduation you get to go to the Large Video Screen room for Virtual Fire Arms classes and get to simulate dangerous scenarios.
Graduation is a Wonderful feeling of accomplishment and then you are an Alumni of our very first chapter the City of Hitchcock Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association CPAAA!
Plus you get to do ride-a-long's in the patrol cars with officers too!
So come meet and greet your local law enforcement officers as well as your neighbors, make new friends, eat awesome food sponsored by our HPD and local area restaurant's and feel apart of the community to assist our HPD so that they in turn may better assist us!
