We are believers who believe in the Holy Trinity and live by the teachings of the Holy Bible. We are led by Doc Amey-President, Terry Melancon-VP, and Shelle Amey-Secretary/Treasurer. We believe in personal integrity which is displayed by showing respect and love to one another when no one but God is watching. We believe that respect should be given with dignity while walking in Christ’s love. Our mission is to bring hope to those who are lost and forgotten by having Christ-centered mentoring relationships between youth and young adults in tough life- situations and volunteers of Lost and Found Ministries. Our goal is to inspire breakthroughs from the way life treats abandoned children and achieve immediate, lasting change in their lives. We desire to partner with our community and Christian organizations globally to spiritually free people from the effects of imprisonment and poverty. Those partnerships with organizations will be used to restore the old waste places of our local community to be used as places where youth will be mentored and taught life-skills. We believe that transformed lives impacts the community in a positive way. We are currently in the process of implementing a program to obtain four main goals; help students to be promoted to the next grade level or graduate, stay out of the juvenile justice system, improve their mindset toward precarious behaviors, and increase their educational capability. Lost and Found Ministries stays very active in our local and surrounding communities by volunteering with other organizations, donating funds for specific needs, and hosting community outreaches. We recently hosted our 1st annual We Have Your Back backpack and school supply drive where we were able to give over 450 school-supply filled backpacks to school-age children and teens. We are preparing for our 4th annual Be The Change You Want To See Outreach where we will be giving over 200 frozen turkeys and the trimmings needed for a thanksgiving meal that these families would otherwise not receive. What we have learned through our time in ministry is that there is nothing too big for God. We see our ministry going worldwide, and we are completely submitted to doing only what the Lord leads us to carry out. Our efforts will lead people into a flourishing relationship with Jesus Christ.
