The time has come for us to start planning our 5th annual community Easter Egg Hunt for the La Marque-Texas City Youth.  Once again, the results from 2018 event exceeded my expectations and I want to thank each of you that offered your support to make it a success.  Easter is April 21st this year. Plan to implement lessons learned and hope to increase participation with our local churches, business and organizations in the community.

We have already secured the Carver park pavilion for the event which will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019.

Please contact me if you or your organization is interested in joining forces. I need to know ASAP no later than April 10, 2019.  I will come to your location to provide more details at a time that is mutually agreeable. Feel free to share the information with others and contact me with any questions or concerns.

I look forward to hearing from you and working with you.  As always, if you have no interest in participating, prayers are always solicited.

Dear Community Supporter,

We have started planning for the 2019 Community Easter Fest La Marque-Texas City.  Once again we are reaching out to our community to support in this effort to put smiles on the faces of over 400 children as well as bring our Galveston county communities together for a common cause and promote unity in our neighborhoods. We would like to thank those that have supported in the past and welcome those that are joining us for the first time this year.  The past 4 years have been bigger and better each year and we don’t want to lose that momentum. This year the event will take place on April 20, 2019 at the Carver Park Pavilion.

Our goal is to have 600 children, so our greatest need is to get as many filled eggs as possible.  We will have three hunt areas setup, 1 -3 years, 4 – 7 years and 8-12 years old. We are looking for teenagers to participate as volunteers.

As you know, this is a free event and in order for it to be a great experience, we need the help of our community churches, businesses and organizations.  I pray each of you will consider giving at the sponsorship level.

We are seeking help from those who are willing to partner with us and help give back to the community.  All donations will go to support the event. We are soliciting financial, gifts in kind and volunteer support.  All donations are welcome, but for a sponsorship of $200 and above, we will include your name on all promotion and marketing material.

There are several ways you can support the event:
  • Partner/Committee Member (assist with planning)
  • Volunteer – Day of Event
  • Sign up as a donor  (any amount is appreciated)
  • Sign up as a sponsor ($200 and above)

    • Bunny costume rental ($80) ________
    • Snow Cone Rental ($200) _________
    • Moon Bounce  __________

Please consider donating today. If you would like more information or to make a donation, please feel free to contact us. Thank you in advance for your thoughtful consideration.  We hope you join us in keeping this wonderful event alive and making it a local tradition.
