LESSON FOR MANY
A mouse, looking through a hole in the wall, sees the farmer and his wife open a package. He was terrified to see that it was a mousetrap. He ran to the patio to warn everyone.
-"There is a mousetrap at home!".
The chicken that was cackling and digging says: "excuse me, Mr. Mouse, I understand that it is a big problem for you, but it does not hurt me at all."
So, the rodent went to the lamb and he says the same thing: "Excuse me Mr. Mouse, but I don't think I can do more than ask for you in my prayers."
The mouse went to the cow and she said: "But am I in danger? I think not!" said the cow.
The mouse returned to the house, worried and dejected to face the farmer's mousetrap.
That night a great noise was heard like that of the mousetrap catching its victim, the woman ran to see what she had caught.
In the dark she did not see that the mousetrap caught the tail of a poisonous snake.
The speedy snake bit the woman, the farmer immediately took her to the hospital, she came back with a high fever.
The farmer to comfort her prepared a nutritious soup, grabbed the knife and went to find the main ingredient: the chicken; Since the woman did not get better, friends and neighbors went to visit them, the farmer killed the lamb to feed them, the woman did not get better and died.
And in the end, the husband sold the cow to the slaughterhouse to cover the funeral expenses.
The next time someone tells you about their problem and you think that it doesn't affect you because it's not yours and you don't pay attention to it, think twice, “he who doesn't live to serve, doesn't serve to live”.
The world is not going badly because of the wickedness of the bad, but because of the apathy of the good.
So when someone needs you for their problems, give them your hand or give them a word of encouragement.
May you never lack empathy!
Remember it very well, EMPATHY.

First Baptist Church of Texas City
  ·
From Our Children’s Minister, Meschel Hara:
There are a lot of things to be excited about at FBCTC two months into 2023!
On Wednesday, February 22 we will have a guest speaker, Jeremy Malick, as well as a dessert competition at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. The staff has been meeting with Jeremy for the past several weeks, and he will be training us as a church body how to be prepared to receive the lost people that God sends to FBCTC. If you want to be on the “A” team, you don’t want to miss it! Plus who wants to miss out on dessert for dinner?! Our Student Ministry will join us for this training, and our kids will continue with their regular Wednesday programming, KidJam.
Other exciting news is that we are switching over to a new giving and people management platform, Subsplash. We started using Simple Church in 2016, and we feel that this transition to Subsplash is going to take us to the next level in our ministry. Subsplash has so much to offer to FBCTC, but you will see the transition happen one toe at a time.
We are starting first with our giving. We are asking everyone who already has their giving set up to recur to end their current recurring gift and set it up with Subsplash. You should have received an email with detailed instructions on how to do that. If you need assistance, call or stop by the church office; and we will be happy to assist you.
When you give on our website, you may notice the new giving platform. You most likely will be prompted to set up your profile with Subsplash with your next gift. You can still choose whether to give with a credit card or your bank account. Processing fees are less if you use your bank account. You can also choose whether to cover the fees yourself or the church will cover those fees with our budget. And as always, there are no fees when giving with check or cash.
You’re probably wondering, “Can I give on an app?” The answer is yes but not yet. For now, please use our website to give if you want to give online. The app is coming; and it’s going to be fabulous! It’s in the process of being designed and customized for FBCTC. You will be able to read from the Bible and take notes during the sermon on the app as well as receive message notifications from the church. That’s just a couple of great things about the app, and there is so much more!
Join me in praying for our transition from Simple Church to Subsplash and for God’s continued guidance as we seek to live out His great commission.

“Grandma, how do you cope with pain?”

“Grandma, how do you cope with pain?”
“With your hands, honey. If you do it with your mind instead of relieving the pain, it toughens even harder.”
“With your hands grandma?”
“Yes, our hands are the antennae of our soul. If you move them; knitting, cooking, painting, playing or sinking them into the ground, you send care signs to the deepest part of you and your soul lights up because you’re paying attention to it. Then signs of pain will no longer be necessary.”
“Hands are really that important?”
“Yes my daughter. Think of babies: they start to know the world through the touch of their hands. If you look at the hands of old people, they tell you more about their life then any body part. Everything that is done by hand is said to be done with the heart. Because it’s really like this: hands and heart are connected. Masseurs know well: when they touch someone with their hands, they create a deep connection. It is precisely from this connection that healing comes. Think of lovers: when they touch their hands, they make love in a more sublime way.”
“My hands grandma.... how long I haven’t used them like this!”
“Move them, my love. Begin to create with them and everything within you will begin to move. The pain will not pass away. And instead what you do with them will become the most beautiful masterpiece and it won’t hurt anymore. Because you have been able to transform its essence..

Eminem is sparking discussion about his personal faith after the release of his new song

EMINEM PRAISES JESUS & DENOUNCES SATAN IN NEW SONG
"HE IS MY SHEPHERD. I'M ARMED WITH JESUS, MY WEAPON IS PRAYER.”
Written by Rhoda Gayle August 31, 2022 The Grammy Award-Winning rapper Eminem praised Jesus and denounced Satan in a surprising new song!
EMINEM
Eminem is sparking discussion about his personal faith after the release of his new song, “Use This Gospel (Remix).”
In it, the Grammy Award-winning rapper is heard to be rapping about God and praising Jesus.
The song is a collaboration with Kanye and is a single on DJ Khaled’s new album “God Did.”
The 49-year-old artist rapped that he is laying down his trust and faith in God.
“I’m holding on (Yeah) but I don’t know if I can take it much longer.
Today’s the day that I put all of my trust and faith in You, Father,”
Eminem rapped in the song.
PRAISED JESUS
Faith-based writer DeWayne Hamby commented that Eminem seems like an unlikely person to sing praises to Jesus.
However, the rapper previously referenced faith in a 1996 song.
Discussions about his Christianity are circulating right now.
Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, also called Jesus his shepherd in the song and that his weapon is prayer.
“So, my savior, I call on to rescue me from these depths of despair.
So, these demons better step like a stair, because He is my shepherd.
I’m armed with Jesus, my weapon is prayer.”
In the final line of his rap part of the song, he clearly praised Jesus Christ.
“Bible at my side like a rifle with a God-given gift.
Every single day I thank God for it.
That’s why I pay so much homage.
Praise to Jesus, I’ll always.
”Let us pray for Eminem that he would encounter the love of Jesus and have his life fully surrendered to Him.
April 2nd, 2005 – Prophet Kim Clement prophesied:
"I will raise from rock groups, from rap artists, I will raise from sportsmen and they will speak out the word that the musicians and the rappers already experienced in prophesying without the Spirit, but now they are going to prophesy with the Spirit and with the fire and that will raise up a generation that shall be filled with the fire of God and consumed with his seal.
"Be aware of this, 50, 50, 50!
Maybe you have no idea who this is.
But now is the greatest voice in this nation.
It shall come to pass that 50 shall be known as 50 because there are no cents.
For there is one thing that shall happen.
The Spirit shall come upon him.
And they shall say, is he amongst the prophets as well?
Then Eminem shall say, I know that I was born for this, I know that I was born for this.
There is one more.
He is unknown but shall become famous overnight.
He shall be in darkness for a short period and 50 and Eminem shall overshadow him and they shall be a three-fold chord that will not be broken.
Why am I saying this?
Because America you have let your children go.
You’ve let them go because you’ve not disciplined them.
But I will bring them back swiftly.
Because you know why?
I have raised up a President to watch over the nation.
Now I’m raising up watchmen on the wall in the music world so that your children will come out saying, something happened when I said those words.
I began to speak in other languages the mysterious God of the earth shall take your children and this generation and raise them up as Samuels, Davids, Jeremiahs, and Isaiahs, Obadiahs in this generation.”
