Found him!
With the help of multiple groups, in less than 24 hours, we found Joe Zuniga and got his Bible back to him. Turns out we were wrong about its trail. Joe hadn't seen this Bible in about 3 or so years. He had left it with another inmate (reluctantly) at the urging of the Holy Spirit years back when he was being released. He was promised by the guard that he'd get his Bible back on his release day, but through God's providence he did not. He will tell you he has fervently prayed to get this Bible back bc it means so much to him. It was marked up from his studying in it, but the rain washed those marking away. Oh well! Fresh start on that one, I guess! He'll tell you about his praying for it THIS VERY MORNING. And when he opened his phone afterward, he saw a text from his wife with a screenshot of the post seeking him out. Aaaand BAZINGA! When we all finally got out of church today, we met up at the McDonald's in Walmart and wound up chatting like newfound family for an hour-and- a-half. But truly, in Christ, that is what we are. When the Spirit is the same, there's no stopping it! Also, if you notice, Joe and my husband have the same Bible, just different sizes and versions. Also, Joe lives about 2 miles from where we found it. How crazy is THAT??? We made a new friend and will definitely be keeping in touch! Thank yall so much for helping us return such a precious thing back to Joe! "Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart."
