DR PEPPER’S BIRTHDAY CAKE FLAVOR GIVES YOU A REASON TO CELEBRATE EVERY DAY It's a party in a can! ?image BY CAITLYN FITZPATRICK
Stop what you’re doing and focus, because there’s a new Dr Pepper flavor that will change everything you thought you knew about soda. While we love the Dark Berry sip, there’s a Dr Pepper Icing on the Cake beverage that is birthday cake-flavored.
Wondering why you haven’t seen this fun flavor on shelves? It’s because it’s super exclusive. As Twitter user @JKMerm, who posted a picture of the can, explained, “I’m part of the Pepper Pack, which is the Dr Pepper brand ambassador program! They sent me a few cans of this for my birthday!”
The maroon, white, and sprinkle-covered can indicates that the Icing on the Cake flavor is limited-edition. The only mention we’ve seen of it is from Pepper Pack members who received a few cans for their birthdays. The earliest photos we’ve seen of this Dr Pepper flavor dates back to August 2018, so it’s not that old for people who are in the know.
Along with the cans of birthday cake-flavored Dr Pepper, lucky recipients also get party poppers, a “happy birthday” hat, a balloon, and a special note:
“To the Birthday Pepper, Since you’re a die-hard Dr Pepper fan, your birth month is, well, kind of a big deal to us. So to celebrate, we’ve created a limited-edition Birthday Cake-flavored Dr Pepper and some exclusive party supplies to help commemorate your existence. Don’t drink it all in one place. Or do. It is YOUR birthday after all. Happy birthday, The Dr Pepper Team”
Now to answer the question weighing on your mind: "HOW DO I GET THIS FLAVOR?!", show your devotion to the soda by applying to join the Pepper Pack here. Be ready to explain why you love Dr Pepper so much, and fingers crossed you’ll be sipping on Icing on the Cake at the next celebration for your year around the sun!
TOTINO’S PIZZA ROLLS JUST RELEASED A HAM & CHEESE FLAVOR TO REIGNITE THE '90S BITE Honey ham and cheddar cheese? Yes, please. BY CAITLYN FITZPATRICK
The reason that '90s kids are such tough adults? Because we survived and thrived after burning our mouths on Totino’s Pizza Rolls on the regular. Prepare to go back to your childhood (sans burning mouth, maybe?), because there’s a new flavor that makes it acceptable to open a pack for breakfast.
Totino’s Ham & Cheese rolls consist of a crisp crust that is filled with honey-cured ham and reduced-fat cheddar cheese, as described on the packaging. This is a pretty big deal for the brand, since it typically sticks with pizza-inspired bites, like Pepperoni, Sausage, and Triple Cheese. Earlier this year, Totino’s got a little adventurous with a Cheeseburger flavor and, in 2017, it welcomed a Macaroni & Cheese With Bacon variety.
“Totino’s Ham and Cheese rolls are a spin-off of your favorite pizza-flavored rolls,” the description says. “Filled with real cheese and ham pieces, this beloved sandwich flavor is now in a convenient bite-size piece.”
This new variety can be cooked in the microwave or oven, and is available at Meijer for $4.19 per 50-count bag, and has been spotted at Publix. Hopefully, that’s just the beginning of a wide, permanent roll-out. OK, OK, we’re hungry now.

THIS DR PEPPER CANDLE SMELLS EXACTLY LIKE THE DRINK, AND COMES IN AN ACTUAL CAN We're so happy that this exists.BY CAITLYN FITZPATRICK
Now you can have your Dr Pepper and … smell it, too? There’s a soy candle that smells exactly like Dr Pepper, so you can get that cola and cherry soda scent pouring through your space.
SHOP NOW The candle comes from Etsy shop 716 Candle Co. (the same brand behind the Mountain Dew-scented candle) and is made of 100% soy wax from American grown soybeans. The hand-poured candle smells just like Dr Pepper and arrives in an upcycled can. So the soda-loving person in your life (or maybe it’s you) will get a kick out of this.
Buyers have boasted about how the Dr Pepper-scented candle smells like the real thing, but if you want a different scent, you can customize the can so it’s filled with one of the other 40 options. The 8- to 10-ounce candle will burn for over 40 hours and is available for $15.
In case you’re wondering how a candle could possibly smell like your favorite soda, you can thank fragrance oil, that adhere to safety and purity standards. The Etsy shop’s near-perfect rating speaks for itself, but just in case you need a tad more convincing …
“Looks exactly the way it does in the photo and is not flimsy in any way,” one buyer wrote. “I was amazed at how much it smells like Dr Pepper and had to let everyone else smell it as well.”

COCA-COLA WITH COFFEE IS EXPECTED TO HIT SHELVES THIS YEAR IN 3 FLAVORS Now THIS is an afternoon pick-me-up. BY CAITLYN FITZPATRICK
Coca-Cola is making it socially acceptable to crack open a can of soda first thing in the morning. The brand is launching a line of soda with coffee drinks, according to Instagram account @candyhunting.
As indicated in the picture, the soda-coffee hybrid canned beverage is expected to come in Dark Blend, Vanilla, and Caramel flavors. The 12-ounce cans pack in 70 calories and (hopefully) a real kick of caffeine.
This isn’t the first time Coca-Cola has gone the coffee route. Coca-Cola BlāK, a coffee-flavored soda, debuted in 2006 and it was pulled from shelves 2 years later. Nancy Quan, chief technical officer at Coca-Cola, told CNN Business that it was poor timing, with it being a trend before its time. Similar products have hit international markets over the past few years, so it looks like the company is taking another stab at it with Coca-Cola with Coffee in the United States.
The Coca-Cola with Coffee news comes off the heels of Pepsi announcing the launch of Pepsi Café, which is also slated to hit shelves in April 2020. However, it only comes in regular and vanilla flavors, so Coca-Cola might have a leg up with caramel lovers.
Pepsi is sweeter than Coke, so it’ll be interesting to see if either brand alters the sugar profile to work with the coffee. We sense a taste test coming!

Tired of your morning cup of coffee? Hostess is coming to the rescue. The snack cake giant is releasing iced lattes flavored by Twinkies, Ding Dongs, Honey Bun, and Sno Balls. TL;DR? Mornings just got a whole lot sweeter.
Each latte comes in a ready-to-drink bottle, so there's no prep work involved. Every flavor is inspired by the actual cakes, meaning the Twinkie beverage has a golden sponge cake flavor, the Ding Dong one is chocolate with hints of vanilla, the Honey Bun has a sweet honey flavor, and the Sno Balls drink is a mix of coconut and chocolate cake.
It's safe to say these drinks would pair flawlessly with the actual snack cakes, but if you want the taste of one of the treats without the crumbs and sticky fingers, drinking one of these alone is a great alternative as well.
These iconic treats have been flavor inspirations for cereals and hot cocoas in the past, but this iced latte is a new way to satisfy cravings as the weather gets warmer. Hostess is always keeping up with the seasons and releasing new versions of their snacks—like Lemon Cupcakes for spring—so fingers crossed these drinks aren't the last of the spring snacks to come.
The drinks are said to be officially launching in April, so you still have some time to decide which flavor you'll be trying first. Obviously, we'd just suggest you get one of each.

Chocolate Choco Tacos Are Being Spotted Back In Stores And They'll Make You Feel Like A Kid Again Remember this? by KORIN MILLER
Klondike’s beloved Choco Taco has been around for quite a while, so you likely know what you’re getting when you dive into one: There’s a waffle cone “taco” shell, vanilla ice cream in the center, a sprinkling of peanuts, and chocolate coating on top.
While that formula is pretty epic on its own, at some point Klondike introduced Chocolate Choco Tacos—and then cruelly yanked them away. Well, big news, everybody: Chocolate Choco Tacos are back, and they look as delicious as ever.
Instagram account @DadBodSnacks spotted one of these white whales at 7-Eleven. “The Chocolate Choco Taco has returned!! After a long hiatus away, the all-chocolate ice cream version of the beloved Choco Taco by @klondikebar has popped up at @7eleven,” they wrote. “Maybe this isn’t huge news to you, but it is to me. I have a nostalgic nerve for these suckers, so I’m VERY happy. Are you??”
People were pretty excited in the comments. “Love these, but haven't seen them in years,” one person wrote. “Oh man... these are my childhood OGs,” another said. “Dang... love these things! 🙌🏻,” someone else chimed in.
While this might seem like it was just a one-off, we have some great news: It looks like we might be dealing with an all-out Chocolate Choco Taco resurrection here! Klondike has the chocolate version featured on its website, and says that it’s been “reimagined” by Dale Earnhardt Jr. (Dale, FTW!) Just a heads up: You can only find it at 7-Eleven, so…you know what to do.

You Can Buy Pre-Made Jell-O Shots From Costco, So It's Time To Throw A Party Jell-O shots without the wait and mess? I’m sold. by KELLY ALLEN
SharJell-O shots are simple. They’re literally only made of vodka, water, and of course, gelatin. Yet for their simplicity, the all-time popular party shot involves a decent amount of planning, precision, fridge space, and waiting. Fortunately, the brand Shottys has solved this issue for us all with pre-made Jell-O shots, and Costco is coming in clutch by selling them.
A follower of the Costco-obsessed Instagram account @costcobuys shared a photo of these time-savers with the account. The party pack includes 24 pre-made gelatin shots–pretty much the amount you’d be able to fit in your fridge. If you bought two of these, you would have 48 shots at the ready and way more fridge space left over than if you were to do it yourself.
The pack includes strawberry, blue raspberry, watermelon, and grape flavors. Each shot is made with vodka that contains 12.5 percent ABV. The shots come in easy-to-squeeze cups, so you don’t have to use your finger...unless you’re a firm believer that’s the only right way to take a jello shot. All you have to do to make them party-ready is add water and ice to the bag to chill them up. Oh, and BTW, they’re gluten-free.
If you like to keep your parties more exclusive, Shottys also sells 8-packs that you can find at certain Walmart locations. More flavors are available for those including lemon, orange, and lime.
So who's making a 5-min Jell-O shot run for the party I'm about to throw??

KFC continues to render the laws of typical food irrelevant. First, the brand made a sandwich with fried chicken for buns (ah, the Double Down...), recently it made chicken sandwich with donuts for buns, and now, at least in Singapore, it's innovating in a way we never saw coming: a taco with a fried chicken "shell."
Yes, KFC Singapore is truly living in 3020 and selling a deliciously unhinged item called the Kentaco. It's made up of a fried chicken shell that's filled with lettuce, tomatoes, and a mix of four different cheeses—Emmental, Romano, cheddar, and mozzarella. Basically it's a thing of beauty, and honestly I really wanna try it.
Since it was announced earlier this month, people have been flocking to KFC to give it a taste. So far the reviews have been pretty positive, though some are still confused by the concept, which, fair! One person raved that they "might be in love," while another conceded that it was "surprisingly not terrible." We'll take it!
If you want to give it a try for yourself, you can pick one up in Singapore for $5.95 and $7.95 for a meal, according to TodayOnline. It's not clear exactly how long it'll be sticking around but as it's been out for about a month, I'd get on it quickly.
This isn't the only amazing thing KFC Singapore has cooking up. According to its Instagram, it's also selling FRIED CHICKEN SKIN, which is a dream of dreams. I'm about to risk it all, pack my bags, and try this stuff for myself..

Texas trucker hauls world's largest mobile barbecue smoker Danny Hermosillo, Chron.com / Houston Chronicle
When you hear someone talking about seeing smokey on the highway, you presume they saw a cop. But they might be actually be talking about Terry Folsom's 18-wheeler meat smoker.
The rig is 76-foot long, and weighs 40 tons. Folsom said the barbecue grill/pit trailer is the largest mobile smoker in the world. The custom-made trailer was built in 2000, has 24 smoking compartments and a firebox in the shape of the state of Texas at the rear.
BBQ COOKOFF: RodeoHouston begins in style with first night of BBQ cookoff
Folsom, who is based in Brenham, said he bought the 18-wheeler smoker about seven years ago from a world champion BBQ pitmaster who fell on hard times.
"It takes a special escort to haul down the highway," Folsom said. Folsom said typically the orgainzation he is working with will hire a wrecker to haul the pit.
The smoker is obviously the envy of most backyard grillers. It was recently featured in a YouTube episode of "Ridiculous Rides."
The big rig BBQ pit can cook 8,000 to 12,000 pounds of meat at a time, enough for thousands of hungry folks. Folsom said he uses it only for charity. He has used it to help the Salvation Army in Galveston and for Hurricane Harvey relief.
"It's rewarding to see people happy. I'm glad to help people. It's not an ego thing."
HoustonChronicle.com: Rodeo cook-off helps barbecue go global
Folsom said he would like to do some grilling to help out some Houston charities, like MD Anderson or Texas Children's Hospital. He said anyone interested in contacting him can check out his Facebook page, or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
