La Marque Fire Department
As a La Marque High School graduate, R’Mani Crookshank has roots in and is a life long resident of Galveston County. Being a basketball player for the lady Cougars, she enjoyed being part of a team. Having a mother who taught her to give back to the community, she wanted a profession where she could make a difference to her neighbors. These traits were noted at her interview. She came in on a cold day and it was noticed she was not wearing a jacket. When she was questioned about why she didn’t have a jacket on, her response was that she left the house with one, but on her way to the interview, she passed a person who was outside without a coat; she pulled over and gave it to them. Recognizing her caring and desire to help others, she was offered an intern position with La Marque Fire Department. Currently, R’Mani has completed medical training and will attend fire training once she earns a EMT license. R’Mani is an asset to this organization and to the those we serve. Join us in celebration as we highlight the many #WonderWomen that serve our great city! #WomensHistoryMonth #womeninlaw #communitymatters #movingforward
