Sergeant Taide Pineda joined Team TCPD in 2018 and, from the beginning, built a reputation for disciplined leadership and operational excellence. With an Advanced Peace Officer Certification and more than 4,000 hours of training, Sgt. Pineda is a leader in the department, serving as SWAT Team Leader, Honor Guard Commander, Bicycle Patrol Supervisor and Firearms Instructor/Armorer. He is certified in Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training and Advanced Hostage Rescue. He now adds the honor of the Texas Police Chiefs Association's LECOP, or Law Enforcement Command Officer Program, a prestigious leadership development program that recognizes "up and comers" -- individuals who have worked hard to prepare themselves for leadership roles in law enforcement. All proceeds from ticket sales directly benefit the Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association and its programs supporting public safety and community engagement.
