Cambria Community Unites for a Heartfelt Labor Day Celebration

The Cambria community came together in vibrant celebration on Labor Day, September 1, 2025, at Cambria Park, creating an unforgettable day full of joy, connection, and lots of fun. This year’s event was particularly special, as local leader Stan Diggs actively participated in the parade, engaging with supporters and residents alike.

The festivities kicked off early with a hearty breakfast at Cambria Christian Church from 7:00 to 9:00 AM. Families gathered to enjoy delicious food and share stories, building a warm atmosphere that set the tone for the day ahead. The excitement intensified as the parade lineup began on E. Vermont St. at 8:30 AM. Colorful floats and enthusiastic participants prepared for the procession, with Stan Diggs taking his place among them, waving to the eager crowd.

At 9:30 AM, the parade got underway, showcasing local pride and community spirit. Stan, walking the parade route greeted supporters with smiles and handshakes, embodying the essence of camaraderie that defines Cambria. Residents cheered and waved, celebrating their collective achievements and strong connections.

After the parade, vendors opened their booths, offering an array of tantalizing treats and unique crafts. The community gathered for a warm welcome and invocation at 10:30 AM, which fostered a moment of reflection as everyone connected with the spirit of the day.

The fun continued with the cornhole tournament at 11:00 AM. Laughter echoed as he joined other community members in showcasing their skills. Live music from Dave Clark filled the park from 11:00 to 12:30 PM, keeping spirits high and motivating everyone to dance along.

Highlighting the day was the car auction at 12:30 PM, a thrilling event where bidders eagerly sought their next prized possession. Following that, the raffle ticket drawing at 1:15 PM generated excitement as numerous attendees had their hopes pinned on winning delightful prizes.

The fire department's exciting water fight at 1:30 PM was another crowd favorite, drawing laughter and cheers as participants engaged in friendly competition. Stan was right in the thick of it, joining the fun and creating a buzz of excitement among the crowd. As the celebration continued, Danny Norman and his gospel band delivered uplifting performances, adding a soulful touch to the festivities from 1:30 to 3:00 PM.

The Labor Day Celebration in Cambria was not just an event; it was a heartfelt reminder of the strength and unity within the community. Stan Diggs reflected on the day, expressing gratitude for the shared experiences and connections forged during the festivities. Attendees left with smiles, looking forward to carrying the spirit of togetherness into future celebrations.
