League City Police Department The League City Police Department Citizen Police Academy recently held its Fall Graduation. The K9 Division was selected as Favorite Instructors and academy cadet Joe Lecoq was the Top Shooter. Congratulations to all participants for completing the academy. The Citizen Police Academy was formed in League City in 2002. It gives residents an opportunity to see how and why the League City Police Department operates as it does. There is a spring and fall class every year and the course is 13 weeks long with meetings once a week.
