Hitchcock ISD Our Hitchcock ISD Police Officers are continuing to spread holiday cheer with their 'Treats not Tickets' campaign! We would like to again thank our gracious donors AMOCO Federal Credit Union, Diamond Hydraulics, and Prosperity Bank for again providing funding to make this event possible. #treatsnottickets#SROsAreValuable#HitchcockISDPDOfficers#WhatStartHereCanChangeTheWorld The City of Hitchcock Police DepartmentThis evening officers of Hitchcock Police Department delivered meals to Hitchcock’s senior citizen community. Officers Dorsey, Longoria, and Hickerson were instrumental in contacting senior citizens who participate in the Hitchcock Police Departments “RU OK” program. These officers then distributed the meals and spent time with the elderly ensuring they were doing “OK” Chief Smith is proud to acknowledge the commitment of these officers and their dedication to the Hitchcock Police Departments vision of community based policing. Thank you to our community partners and to the Officers who participated for a job well done. The RU OK? program is a FREE service that establishes a relationship between senior citizen participants and the Hitchcock Police Department. The goal is to establish regular phone calls inquiring about the welfare of the participants. During the call participants are asked "Are You OK?" If they answer "yes" they may simply hang up and continue with their day. If a concern is expressed, the officer will determine the nature of the concern and determine if a response to the residence is necessary. Unanswered calls or busy signals are called back. If there is still no response, the officer will visit the residence for a safety check. For additional information about the program or to register yourself or another please contact Lt.
