League City Police Department
  ·
The League City Police Department believes that well-trained officers are not only safe officers but also provide a higher level of service to the citizens of League City.
Training is a top priority for our department, and our officers regularly exceed the state’s mandatory training requirements.

The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) requires every peace officer to have at least 40 hours of training every two years to keep their license.
However, since September 1, 2019, most League City Police Department officers completed double this requirement, averaging more than 80 hours of training every two years.

We have recently held courses training hundreds of officers.
Here are some of the courses held:

•Police Officer Standardized Training – 40-hour refresher course for all LCPD officers
•Advanced Accident Investigation – Experienced crash investigators may enhance their level of understanding of collision investigation through this advanced course.
•Accident Reconstruction Training – analyzing traffic collisions and reconstructing the events
•Active Bystandership for Law Enforcement – discuss tactics to intervene effectively
•Crime Scene Investigation – techniques and methods for conducting investigations ranging from general crime scene investigations to death investigations
•Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training – research-based active shooter training
•Field Training Officer Training – improving interactions within divisions

Saunders For League City
Good day everyone.
City of League City has established itself as a city of continual growth, steadily becoming a more desirable place to live.
I have been a resident of this wonderful city for over 20 years, and I want to do my part to help it flourish and thrive and continue to be a destination for families and visitors alike.
