From Coach, Billy Miller: “The Santa Fe Flying Indians traveled to Deer Park for the 2023 Varsity Track season opener.
Aaron Tacquard cleared his first Varsity bar on his first attempt to clinch 3 place.
Johnny Wright came in next to clinch 2nd place with one qualifying jump.
Nate Williams was next and took control of the meet by clearing 13 feet, 14 feet, and 14 feet 6 inches.
Nate had a great attempt at 15 feet but came down on the bar.
The girls were up next with all the girls starting their competition with the meet winning first jumps.
Bella Briesh and Sydney Jacobs battled it out for first place with Bella taking her first Varsity gold of her career.
On to Pearland this week as the road to the State Championships gets off to a great start.”
