**Officer of the Year Officer Glenn Sharp**
We are very pleased to announce our Kemah Police Officer of the Year, Officer Glenn Sharp! This prestigious award was presented to Officer Sharp by the Rotary Club of Seabrook in recognition of his outstanding service as a first responder. Officer Sharp has served in law enforcement for over 21 years. Throughout his career, Officer Sharp has displayed an exceptional devotion to duty as a Patrol Officer, Detective, and Sergeant.
As a Patrol Investigator and Field Training Officer at the Kemah Police Department, Officer Sharp identifies criminal suspects, recovers stolen property, assists crime victims, and trains new recruits.This past year, Officer Sharp apprehended a career criminal who committed a series of credit card thefts and forgeries. He also investigated a string of storage locker burglaries in which he recovered and returned the cremated remains of one of the victim's relatives. In his spare time, Officer Sharp volunteers to perform motorcycle funeral escorts for families that cannot afford these services.
We are very proud of Officer Sharp for his well-deserved award, and we commend his dedication and commitment to the City of Kemah.
