Dickinson Police Department - Texas · Officer of the Quarter Clint Brown Officer Clinton (Clint) Brown is a hometown guy from right here in Dickinson, Texas! He is a new, yet familiar face here at the Dickinson Police Department. For those that don’t know, Officer Clint Brown started his career back in 2013 as a jailer, then changed course to serve as a dispatcher in 2015. Officer Clint Brown, knowing he has always wanted to be a Police Officer, then attended the College of the Mainland Police Academy in 2018 - graduating with honors. When Clint was pinned at his Police Academy graduation by then Chief Ron Morales, he stated, “Clint started as a jailer. He wasn’t satisfied with that job, so he went on and became a dispatcher. He wasn’t satisfied with that job, so he went and has now become a police officer; I guess after that he is going to want my job”. Clint briefly left his DPD family and went to work at Nassau Bay Police Department for 3 1/2 years, but we are now fortunate to have him back. Q & A with Officer Clint Brown Q. Describe yourself in one word. Dedicated Q. What do you find most rewarding about Police work? A. One of the most rewarding and satisfying aspects of being a police officer is the opportunity to help and protect the people in the community in which I live. Q. You are a born and raised Dickinsonite; what do you enjoy most about working in the city that you grew up in? A. To have the opportunity to work for the city I grew up in, Graduated High School in, live in and am raising my kids in is a true honor; I think it makes policing the City of Dickinson more personal for me. Q. How have you grown as a person during your tenure with Dickinson Police Department? A. Since starting in 2013, I have had the opportunity to engage in many law enforcement roles. I enjoy learning the most I can in each field and feel that drive and experience has helped me develop both personally and professionally. Q. Aside from necessities, what is one thing you could not go a day without? A. Seeing my wife and kids. Q. What is something people would be surprised to know about you? A. I have a passion for coaching little league baseball. I am moving into my 3rd year coaching with Dickinson Little League and enjoy the time invested with my son and again, the community.
