City of Dickinson, Texas - City Government
· In accordance with the Texas Election Code, the City of Dickinson will hold a General Election on May 6, 2023, to elect four positions for Dickinson City Council. All Council positions are considered at large, meaning each Councilmember services the entire community, rather than a district. The 2023 election will include the following positions on the ballot: - Mayor - Council Member At Large Position 1 - Council Member At Large Position 3 - Council Member At Large Position 5 The City has four contested races with the following candidates vying for office: - For Mayor: - Sean Skipworth - Kevin Edmunds - Council Member At Large Position 1 - Johnnie Simpson, Jr - Nita Clements - Council Member At Large, Position 3 - Collin Coker - Mark Townsend - Council Member At Large, Position 5 - John Ovalle - Bill Schick There will be two early voting locations in the City, as well as two Election Day locations: - Dickinson City Hall - 4403 Hwy 3, Dickinson, TX 77539 - Dickinson Community Center - 2714 State Hwy 3, Dickinson, TX 77539 The following dates and times will be available for casting your vote in the May 6th election: - Early Voting - Monday, April 24th, through Friday April 28th 2023 from 8:00am to 5:00pm - Monday, May 1st, through Tuesday May 2nd 2023. from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm - Election Day - Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm There will be numerous other items on the ballot for this election beyond the City races.
