First Baptist Church of Texas City

From Our Children’s Minister, Meschel Hara:
What a blessing it was to see so many children leading us in Worship last Sunday!  They did such a great job!  It really made my heart happy!  Imagine how much it made God’s heart happy!  Jesus said in Matthew, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Every Sunday our children participate in age-appropriate worship that is planned just for them.  Through games, activities, videos and music, it is our goal for children to learn the Word of God and grow in their relationship with Jesus.
This month our elementary kids will be focusing on the character of God of cooperation through God’s Big Story.   We will be exploring four great stories where God brought people together to accomplish something big for Him:  Building of the Tabernacle, Joshua wins the Battle over the Amalekites, the four friends who lower their friend to see Jesus and the Early Church working together.
Our scripture this month is also about cooperation.  “Two people are better than one.  They can help each other in everything they do.”  Ecclesiastes 4:9
Our children will be practicing their new worship song for March, House of the Lord, on Wednesday nights at KidJam as well as on Sundays during Kids Church.  Our puppet team will also be working on their new song for March at KidJam.  You can look forward to seeing our kids in Worship on Family Sunday, March 27.
