Another school year is coming to a close, and summer is practically here. Our theme this summer for our elementary kids is Make Waves. They will be learning that what they do today can change the world around them. Each Sunday in June and July we will focus on a different fruit of the Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control.
As part of our summer Children’s Ministry schedule, our elementary children will join their family in adult worship at 10:45am every Sunday and then dismiss after the offertory prayer for Kids Church. This change will not affect babies through Kindergarten. They will continue to have worship class starting at 10:30am directly following 9:30am Sunday School.
Kids will continue to join our worship team on the last Sunday of the month, June 26 & July 24, for the first worship song of the service. We will be repeating two songs that we learned this year. You can look forward to them singing House of the Lord in June and Boom Chaka Laka in July.
For Family Sunday this Sunday, our kids will be sharing their final worship song from KidJam, Battle Belongs. 1st – 6th grade will stay for the full service since we will be observing the Lord’s Supper.
