A Message from Jerry Williams:
      Greetings in the name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus! Your 
Pastor Search Committee (PSC) would like to keep you informed 
about our search process. Our planning actually began with a brief 
history lesson. Every church goes through seasons; and over the past 14 years, FBCTC has gone through several changes. Think back for just a moment. 
•  We had one location on 9th Avenue in downtown Texas City. 
•  We acquired a second campus out on I-45 and were One     
          Church - Two Locations. 
•  We sold the 9th Avenue campus and acquired our current     
         building. 
•  We sold the I-45 campus and began the remodel of our     
         building. 
•  During this time, the church went through three major capital
         stewardship campaigns to focus on reducing/eliminating the 
         church debt.
•  And then the Pandemic hit.
  Why am I sharing this simple timeline? Fifteen years ago
when Robert was being interviewed for this job, did the PSC review 
all these upcoming changes with the candidates so they could make an informed decision? Of course not. Did God know these changes were coming? Absolutely. Isn't it wonderful that God selected just the right man to lead us through this myriad of change? Consider how God selected just the right man with the experience, personality, and wisdom to lead us through the past 14 years! 
  As a Pastor Search Committee, we are seeking God's leading
to understand the next season of FBCTC. We believe God has us 
set up now to focus on expanding our ministries and missions to 
powerfully impact Texas City for Christ! We believe that our church is going to be very different over the next 5 /10 /15 years.
  It is no coincidence that God gave us this building, located
in the middle of seven new subdivisions, multiple new apartment 
complexes, and increased businesses, traffic, and neighboring city
expansion. What type of pastor does God have selected to lead us 
through this season?
  Can we ask you to pray for us? Pray for wisdom, direction, and
discernment. Pray for unity within the PSC and church. Pray for our 
next Pastor and his family. Pray for our current staff and their families.
