Hurricanes are the most violent storms on Earth. They form near the equator over warm ocean waters. Actually, the term hurricane is used only for the large storms that form over the Atlantic Ocean or eastern Pacific Ocean.
The generic, scientific term for these storms, wherever they occur, is tropical cyclone. Other names they are given, depending on where in the world they are born, are typhoons, cyclones, severe tropical cyclones, or severe cyclonic storms. Whatever they are called, the same forces and conditions are at work in forming these giant storms, any of which can cause damage or devastation when they hit land where people live. Tropical cyclones are like engines that require warm, moist air as fuel. So the first ingredient needed for a tropical cyclone is warm ocean water. That is why tropical cyclones form only in tropical regions where the ocean is at least 80 degrees F for at least the top 50 meters (about 165 feet) below the surface. The second ingredient for a tropical cyclone is wind. In the case of hurricanes that form in the Atlantic Ocean, the wind blowing westward across the Atlantic from Africa provides the necessary ingredient. As the wind passes over the ocean's surface, water evaporates (turns into water vapor) and rises. As it rises, the water vapor cools, and condenses back into large water droplets, forming large cumulonimbus clouds. These clouds are just the beginning. By 1976 Ron opened Bedard’s Refrigeration out of La Marque, Texas, and serviced his community for over 44 years. Upon his decision to retire in 2019, Ron proudly handed down the long-standing company to his eldest son Ronald C. Bedard Jr. who currently owns and operates Master Electrical Services, partnered with his brother-in-law James Mitchell, out of Santa Fe, Texas. Ronald Jr. has since proudly taken over his father’s business and valued customers, with an ever expanding and growing mindset. He has extended his father’s honesty, loyalty, and dedication of service to all of Galveston County and the South Houston area. As of January 2021, Bedard’s A/C & Heating will now be merging with Master Electrical Services, as well as the addition of our new Master Plumber, Kevin Ellis, a childhood friend of the family. Because of this, it is important that you find the best possible rate for your auto and homeowners insurance policy. Luckily, it is much easier to find a great rate for insurance now than ever before. In the past, you were pretty much stuck accepting whatever type of insurance your agent could find for you. Then, around ten years ago, nearly every insurance company started offering their product online. Soon after, people started feeling as though they were insurance experts and handled their polices online themselves. This wasn't a bad thing—in many cases. However, there are downfalls to working directly with the insurance companies. In many cases, insurance customers do not understand what type of coverage they need. They take the lowest possible rate, without looking into the repercussions that could be caused. This is fine and good—until the time comes that they need to get something back from the insurance company. Because of this, working with an independent agency is actually still a superior way to obtain insurance. The agent can help you get the coverage you need at a price you can afford. Additionally, there are many agencies now that offer features that make it even easier. For instance, in some cases you can compare insurance quotes online. Unlike trying to compare by visiting each site yourself, using one of these tools means that you are comparing apples to apples. Therefore, not only are you paying as little as possible, you are still getting the type of coverage you need. Spend some time researching the options, and then choose an independent agency that will make things easy for you and save you money too. http://www.skipperinsuranceadvisors.com/ 908 6th St. N. Ste.
