Pop-Tarts while delicious are usually also full of things you shouldn’t really have for breakfast. Like all that sugar. But hey if you can replace that with something even worse why wouldn’t you? Well Josh from Mythical Kitchen decided to show us all how to make the best of the worst kind of Pop-Tart. So now you can make your very own to eat and try, or maybe prank your friends that come to stay over for breakfast. This video from Mythical Kitchen has over one million views! So either people are morbidly curious or they are loving using this recipe on the daily. He’s smashed Pop-Tarts and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos together and what came of it, well watch and see. It’s really impressive to see how many steps and ingredients he has to go through to make the perfect(?) Pop-Tart. He made it from start to finish, making the dough, filling and showed us all how to put it together. Then you bake and cool it, add the frosting and sprinkles and you can toast it.
He also made the box for it which actually looks really cool. I can totally imagine these being sold on the shelf at the grocery store. I mean if they can make sickly sweet unicorn pop-tarts why not sell savory/ hot ones that will burn on the way in and the way out? If you want to check out more of Mythical Kitchen’s videos you can by following the link here. Next up on my to try list, Gatorade Muffins! Shared from https://nerdbot.com/

It seems like every season Mountain Dew is releasing a new flavor to match the time of year. Just look at the VooDew flavor for Halloween and Snap’d flavor for Christmas! This latest one doesn’t really go with the season it’s being unveiled in, but we’d drink Mountain Dew Major Melon any time. As detailed in leaked materials on Reddit, the new Mountain Dew soda tastes like watermelon. It is expected to launch in January 2021 and will be a permanent flavor. Mountain Dew Major Melon has Super Bowl launch support, so there’s a chance that we’ll be seeing a commercial featuring the new soda during the Big Game. Over Labor Day weekend, someone posted a picture on Reddit showing the watermelon-flavored Mountain Dew in a marketing survey. Is that confirmation that Major Melon is really happening? Well, maybe those survey results will help decide, but it’s certainly a step in the right direction.
As long as all goes according to plan, we won’t have to wait long to get the soda in our hands. Plus, it appears that it’ll also be coming in a Zero Sugar flavor, just like the original Zero Sugar that came out earlier this year. You’ll be able to get Major Melon in all core packs, including cans and bottles. While we weren’t expecting to crack open a watermelon-flavored soda in the winter, there’s no stopping us from getting this Mountain Dew once it’s officially out. The next time you go to order a Momma's Pancake Breakfast, you can add a mimosa to your order. Cracker Barrel is getting bubbly with the addition of beer, wine and mimosas to its menu for the first time in the company's 51-year history. The "old country store" restaurant chain began testing the concept starting before the coronavirus pandemic began. After adding beer, wine and mimosas to the menu at more than 100 locations, the company is making the change permanent. It helped that the overall response from customers was overwhelmingly positive and made the decision to allow most locations to partake in adult beverages a no-brainer. "Our guests have told us that offering beer and wine would reduce the veto vote — that is, those guests who would choose Cracker Barrel for a given dining occasion, but ultimately go elsewhere because they would like to have a beer or a glass of wine with their meal — especially during weekend dinner," a Cracker Barrel spokesman told CNN via email. The company was encouraged by the results of the test program, which featured a limited assortment of beer and wine plus mimosas, according to the spokesman. The company now plans to add alcohol sales to roughly 600 locations by the end of the fiscal year, the spokesman said.
In a call with reporters earlier this week to discuss the company's latest earnings report, Cracker Barrel CEO Sandra Cochran said the test stores were located in Florida, Kentucky and Tennessee. "We have not yet really started to promote it, but I'm encouraged with how strong it has continued to be, especially in Florida, where we've had it the longest," Cochran said. The alcohol sales were mostly targeting the dinner crowd, but Cochran said the mimosas were becoming "quite popular" with breakfast and lunch diners.Plus, customers will have the option to order mimosa kits to go at some locations in both of the offered flavors — classic orange and strawberry. Cracker Barrel was established on September 19, 1969, in Lebanon, Tennessee. The company has more than 660 locations in 45 states. Shared from https://www.cnn.com/ Talk about connecting Central Texas, two Bell County brewpubs boast a big collaboration that cuts right to the spirit of cooperation. Their project even connects to an iconic Waco product.
Barrow and Bold Republic Brewing Companies began the project last week, with an eye toward a fall release. Their inspiration came from a product made in Central Texas. "There's a lot of different beer styles out there different style breweries and to be able to come together and create something new together is just fun," explained Katie Hill, of Barrow Brewing. "This beer is inspired by a snickers bar using chocolate cocoa nuts caramel, peanut and it's gonna be a really luxurious treat," Hill went on, to say. That's right, Barrow and Bold Republic have begun to brew what they officially call "Mermadillo 2020", but unofficially called "Snickers beer", after the candy made at the Mars Confectionary in Waco. "Yes we hope that it'll be like drinking a liquid snickers at about 10 to 11% 07," said John Patrick Hodges, of Bold Republic Brewing. That's 10 to 11 percent alcohol, definitely NOT a kid's drink. "It'll be on the sweetened side. Again, we want people to have the experience of a milk chocolate candy bar," said Hodges. The pumpkin spice craze is just getting cheesy.

ARLINGTON, Va., Sept 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- A new study conducted by the FMI Foundation shows that Americans are using family meals to stay strong – physically and emotionally – during the global pandemic; and they plan to continue this positive practice when the world returns to a new normal. As the nation observes National Family Meals Month™ in September, this news underscores the proven scientific benefits of sharing meals. "We have long known that family meals have a tremendously positive impact," said David Fikes, executive director of the FMI Foundation, the organization that founded National Family Meals Month and which provides research grants for this and other family meals studies. "In fact, just as our nation was being impacted by the pandemic early this year, the most comprehensive study to date – published in The Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior (JNEB) – demonstrated the undeniable value of family meals. (https://www.jneb.org/article/S1499-4046(19)31154-6/fulltext) It showed that more frequent family meals were associated with better dietary and family functioning outcomes." Accentuating the JNEB findings, the new survey consisted of a national sample of more than 1,000 American adults and was conducted August 14 through 17, 2020. It confirmed a variety of present-day facts related to family meals:
Fikes added that a notable 85% of Americans plan on eating family meals more often or the same amount as they did before the pandemic when things return to a new normal. He said, "Whatever our new normal will be, we need to stay physically and emotionally fit, and family meals help with both. Clearly, family meals are the foundation for a healthy nation." Shared from https://thebuzz.iheart.com/ If you want to have your life flipped turned upside down—for a night, at least—you’re in luck. Will Smith is giving lucky fans a chance to book the famous mansion from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and live like American pop royalty. The successful multihyphenate has partnered with Airbnb for the one-of-a-kind experience that is designed to transport guests to the lap of luxury for a mere $30 a night. The iconic Brentwood crib was used as the exterior during the hit ‘90s sitcom, and the interiors are just as, well, fresh as you would imagine, with high-end furnishings, colorful graffiti art, family portraits and other nostalgic memorabilia. Guests will be (virtually) welcomed to the manse by none other than DJ Jazzy Jeff himself before indulging in Philly cheesesteaks served on silver platters. Big Willie’s wing is exclusively reserved for the night and features a luxurious bedroom with a DJ booth, a bathroom, an elegant dining room and a poolside lounge area. Guests will have the opportunity to partake in an array of fly experiences, like donning a royal look from the Fresh Prince’s very own closet or lacing up a pair of Air Jordans and shooting hoops. The turntables are also primed for use if you want to spin like DJ Jazzy Jeff. “It’s your crib for the night, so feel free to act like you own the place,” Smith stated on the listing. The experience coincides with the series’ 30th anniversary, and as such is priced at $30 a night ($1 for every year since the Fresh Prince first moved into his kingdom). It also times perfectly with the newly announced reboot, Bel-Air, which was recently given the go-ahead for two seasons on NBC’s new streaming service Peacock. What’s more, Airbnb will be making a donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia. This charity supports youth in need by offering development and skill-building programs, recreational activities and empowerment tools. “To celebrate the feeling of family and community that was so memorable from my time in this home, Airbnb will make a one-time donation to a local organization in my hometown, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia,” Smith added. As to be expected, there are a few caveats. There are just five separate one-night stays available in October, and the experience is only open to groups of up to two Los Angeles County residents who currently live in the same house. This was done to minimize risks pertaining to the pandemic. In addition, the property will also adhere to Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocols, as well as all CDC rules and local Covid-19 guidelines. Bookings will open on Tuesday, September 29 at 11 am PDT and you can check out the listing here. Check out more photos of the mansion below: Shared from https://robbreport.com/
For as many delicious fast food offerings as we see on menus every day, there is a whole world of even more food that brands are testing on a regional level that the public at large may never get to try. Today's entry in that scrumptious category is from Chick-fil-A, which has a cheesy, sweet, and crispy sandwich we must demand come to a store near us immediately.
The brand announced that it was testing a new Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich, a particularly over-the-top spin on its classic chicken sandwich. It's made by drizzling a Chick-fil-A Filet with honey, and then topping it with Southern-style pimento cheese and mild pickled jalapeños. All of this deliciousness is served on a toasted bun, of course. The new sandwich—which was created with the attributes "savory, salty, sweet, and melty" in mind, according to Chef Stuart Tracy, one of Chick-fil-A’s senior culinary developers—apparently won in a landslide compared to other items Chick-fil-A was thinking of sending out for a test. With that in mind, you know it has to be pretty great. You really can't go wrong with cheese and fried chicken—it's just common sense. Unfortunately, unless you live in the Upstate South Carolina or Asheville, NC, area, you won't be seeing this on your local menu. |
