From Our Deacon Chair Jay Brough: First Baptist Church of Texas City

Dear Church Family,
What a great response we received from the church suggesting
potential Pastor Search Committee members! From a list of 83
church members, the deacons nominated 12 individuals who were
strongly supported by those of you who submitted names. Here are
the church members who were nominated:
Ben Breedlove, Rebecca Brooks, Gary Cameron, Lisa Campbell,
Shawn Goldner, Shelby Jackson, Ronn Mason, Gary Potter,
Tesa Skipper, Doug Smith, Brian Weaks and Jerry Williams.
During the morning worship service on November 14, each
church member will select seven names that they feel should serve
on the committee. Please prayerfully consider who you feel will best serve First Baptist Church of Texas City in finding our next pastor. To get the best possible representation of our membership, please select individuals who demonstrate Christian maturity, are involved in church activities and various ministries of the church, represent various age groups, are able to attend the committee meetings and are able to travel to hear and interview prospects. Included in the worship guide is a sample ballot with the names and their associated ministries.
If you are unable to attend church on November 14, you can
still participate in the selection process. You may use the sample
ballot or pick up a ballot at the church office completing, signing and submitting it before Sunday, November 14.

in this process. I can’t wait to see God work as we find the pastor He has already selected for us.
